Who we are

Onehunga Plumbers has been around for a long time – we were probably fixing drains and building roofs on your grandparents' house! Norman Dixon established the business in 1964, originally as Polyplas Manufactures Ltd., and it's grown a lot since then.

Stanley Vear was Norman's first apprentice, and he joined Onehunga Plumbers in 1977 before eventually buying it outright in 1995. Sadly, he passed away in 2009, and today, one of his former colleagues, Shalesh Karan runs and owns the business.

Shalesh has over 20 years' experience plumbing, repairing roofs, fixing drains, and gas fitting in Auckland. Anything you need done, at any time of the night or day, him and his team are the men to do it. We understand that it can be uncomfortable to have unknown workmen traipsing through your property – luckily, Onehunga Plumbers have worked for the police so you can be assured that we are well vetted!
